## 2. Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the App and improve your experience.

### 2.1 Information you provide

- Photos you capture with the camera or select from your photo library for plant scanning and identification
- Messages and optional images you send in the expert chat feature
- Plants you save to your collection, favorites, and scan history within the App
- Support requests or other communications you send to us

### 2.2 Information collected automatically

- Basic device and app information, such as operating system version, app version, and general usage events needed to keep the App working
- Subscription and purchase status processed through Apple and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, when you subscribe to Pro features

We do not require you to create an account with a username or password to use the App.

### 2.3 Information we do not collect

We do not intentionally collect:

- Precise location data
- Contacts, calendars, or unrelated personal files
- Government ID numbers or payment card numbers directly (payments are handled by Apple)

## 3. How we use your information

We use information for the following purposes:

- To identify dogs from images you submit
- To display scan results, care guidance, and chat responses
- To store your scan history, saved items, favorites, and chat threads on your device
- To enforce free scan limits and provide Pro subscription features

When you scan a plant or use expert chat, your photos and messages may be sent to third-party AI services for processing. See the in-app consent notice before first use of AI chat.

Do not submit sensitive personal information you do not want shared with AI providers.

Most collection data (saved scans, favorites, chat history) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a user account database for basic App use.

## 6. Subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive subscription status, not your full payment details.

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

## 8. Your choices

You can delete saved scans and chats from within the App, reset onboarding in Settings, and revoke camera or photo permissions in your device settings.

## 9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
